Mountain Writers Series is a non-profit organization and requires financial support from the community to maintain its mission of promoting literature and literacy by providing high-quality events accessible to all segments of the community. All donations are tax-deductible.

Underwriting the participation of a particular writer in MWS programming or a writer's visit to a particular school (maybe your alma mater), or setting up a scholarship fund for MWS workshops are some specific examples of ways you or your business can contribute.

If you're a business or provide services for the community, please consider supporting MWS by contributing food, materials, or services to be used in day-to-day office operations, community receptions following readings, or our annual holiday auction.
